BoyleSports assembled a panel of horse racing experts to preview all the upcoming action at the Cheltenham Festival.
The Host of the BoyleSports Cheltenham Preview Night was the Racing Post’s David Jennings who was joined by BoyleSports Racing Ambassador Robbie Power, Johnny Dineen of Upping The Ante, David Casey who is Assistant Trainer to Willie Mullins, Trainer Gavin Cromwell, and racing expert Tony Keenan.
Our expert panel shared their thoughts on which horses they fancy for this year’s Champion Chase and those who they think are being overhyped.

Robbie Power: “It’s one-way traffic for El Fabiolo. Jonbon’s form around Cheltenham is terrible. He won the Schloer Chase but it was an egg and spoon race, Edwardstone was having his first run of the season and Alan King wouldn’t have had him fully wound up. Edwardstone has progressed, he won an ordinary race the last day at Newbury, a flat track, with forceful tactics. He has a chance but I think El Fabiolo will win – I don’t think Jonbon will finish in the first three.”
David Casey: “El Fabiolo is a superstar. Jonbon is not out of the race, if James Bowen had have just sat on him in the Clarence House and not moved he’d have won on the bridle, so I put a line through that. I hope Edwardstone makes the running, I think it’ll suit El Fabiolo, the stronger the pace the better. He’s probably improved again since Leopardstown.”
